  •  The 24/7 Fox News "Concern" Meme (5+ / 0-)

    http://www.dailykos.com/...

I recently noticed something about Fox, and that is their constant use of the word "concern."

        People are concerned....

        Experts are concerned.....

        This policy raises concerns......

The point is that talking about "concerns" lets the hosts and guests bloviate for literally hours at a time without discussing anything that actually happened.

This is how Fox keeps its nonstories and nontroversies alive for months based on nothing but speculation and bullshit.

Men are so necessarily mad, that not to be mad would amount to another form of madness. -Pascal

      crap is to food.

There really is no other good way to put it. They take something in the news, better "breaking news" and digest it into concern shit for apparently political use and also to attract a certain segment of the audience that is best equated with certain habits of dogs.

    •  That and the conversion to the participle... (0+ / 0-)

      "This is very concerning."

I noticed this usage first from Palin, but it appears to have spread throughout wingnutistan.

    •  Some long time Fox News observers (0+ / 0-)

expressed concern that the news station might be a propaganda organ for Austrailian founder and CEO Rupert Murdoch's political views.  But many experts believe the news station has introduced a new paradigm to cable news by nurturing a corporate culture dedicated to fair and balanced programming.  "We empower the viewers to decide by showing both sides of the story," explains a veteran Fox News executive, adding that "some news channels have an agenda, a biased perspective of the world far to the left of what real Americans see."  All of the Fox News viewers we interviewed emphatically agreed.  In the words of one Fox News fan, "when the liberal media isn't ramming the fag agenda down my throat, they're worrying about the rights of 'Murika-hatin' terrarists.  Fox news is for 'Murikans who love their country!"

See how easy it is?  I could have gone on for pages!
