  •  I learned many years ago to feed the pooties (9+ / 0-)

when I came home from work.  They got adjusted to dinnertime being a pleasant 5 PM.

Dry is always out, but they thought of that as emergency rations and not food.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

    •  I don't feed my indoor pooties (4+ / 0-)

gushy food except for rare occasions. My ferals get it once a day mixed with water because cats often put stress on their kidneys by concentrating urine.

My indoors hate me I'm sure, but they crowd around when I'm preparing the food and sometimes sneak a bite or two.

It's actually kind of funny, they appreciate that little bit off the spoon or from licking the bowl and seem satisfied by their own stealth.

And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County Down by the Green River where Paradise lay. Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away. John Prine
