  •  Syria: Change from News to Prophecy (2+ / 0-)

I'm religious, and I grew up with all the End Times countdowns. What bothered me when I was fifteen bothers me still: If it's a prophecy, then trying to make it come true, or trying to stop it, is equally sacrilegious. Once I figured that out, I realized that Jesus had kept saying, throughout the Gospels, "Stop bugging me. Live each day as if it were your last, and you won't have to worry about it," and that was, in fact, the message.

FoxNews had to not merely do what is expected -- look for a "terrorist fist jab" or an online article about Black Santa to be horrified by -- but actually divert from "news" altogether, scrap journalism, entertainment, nationalism, jingoism, and everything else at the same time to pander to the Doomsday Prepper audience.

Looking for signs of End Times is a web site schtick. It's sub-Alex Jones. They went there.

    Everyone's innocent of some crime.
