    My father died of metastatic cancer, and although we offered, the doctor said they would not risk putting any part of him into someone else's body, especially given the anti-rejection drugs recipients have to take.

    So there may not be an age cut-off, but there may be health ones.

    The prime donors are young healthy people who are struck down suddenly -- which means gunshots or car accidents.

      States without helmet laws ... well, they aren't called donorcycles for nothing.  I always contend that riding a motorcycle without a helmet should be automatic consent for organ donation.
