that the diarist didn't address this obvious thing in the diary. Your post here has only been up a few minutes, I realize--but here, specifics are offered.

Thank you for making it very easy for him/her to respond, I certainly hope they do so with something besides pol-speak...

    •  Ban Nock has a long posting history supporting (4+ / 0-)

views contrary to those most of us who support wolves have.  I've had numerous comment disagreements with him over the years, but he's been consistent in statements indicating wolves aren't in jeopardy.  I happen to disagree and I support increasing wolf ranges and protecting them from hunting at this time.  His side is winning in many states of the northern Rockies.

That said, I have no problems with this action by RMEF and I support these kinds of actions no matter what group does them.

is hard to determine, if you don't read him much. And if it could possibly be taken as sophistry or sins of omission are so easily noted, the writing is disingenuous at best.

to picture him working with the USFS. The RMEF is an organization with lots of ranchers, loggers, and hunters. These are people with an extraction mentality and they don't like sharing elk, deer, sheep, or prongs with wolves. And they will take an elk from the wild but won't let a wolf take a calf from a ranch. They do some good things though. I have worked with them and the High Desert Riders to promote lite on the land horse camping techniques in Oregon wilderness areas. So at least some the their members are less impactive on wilderness when they on go their hunts.
