    I've met plenty of 1%s who are members of the RMEF. And their concerns about access usually involve expensive off road vehicles and resource extraction limitations. Western welfare capitalists rarely understand the public part about public land.

    If they are unwashed it's because the pushy rich bastards don't  bath.

      maybe sign up for emails or read web site or something. They've re directed the type of member they attract, they are aiming to support things that benefit the average hunter. They scared off lots of people with that elitist stuff back in the late 80s early 90s.

      •  I used to demonstrate light on the land horse (0+ / 0-)

        camping at packing clinics funded in part by the RMEF. So I am aware that they fund an array of studies and activities. And some of them unrelated to elk shooting and useful, but it is hard to believe that RMEF is more Raccoon Lodge now than Harvard Club and Cattlemen's Association.

        I guess we can all hope you and RMEF are doing good work in a beautiful area of Oregon.

        I'll stay tuned.
