    Then you're not "respecting" anything. You're doing it for the jollies not because you can't get it any other way. Veganism is irrelevant.

      unless you think that meat, milk, and cheese just magically appear in the grocery store. I would rather have meat from an elk or a trout than from big agro business, but that is just me.

      You mean, if you eat meat but don't hunt or fish, you aren't just paying someone else to control and kill animals??  

      Those chickens and cows aren't penned up voluntarily and they aren't dying of old age.  If you're talking about being humane or environmentally-conscious, I'll put dispatching a free-ranging wild game fish or animal above purchasing a shrink-wrapped industrially-produced anti-biotic treated (in life and death) livestock animal ANY day.  

      Go vegan or don't bother hunters and anglers.  Anything else is hypocrisy.
