  •  The VA does accept religious cards (5+ / 0-)

    but sorts & distributes them according to types of cards patients want, if any.  It's a good policy, as is any that prohibits children from a conservative Christian school hand delivering religious cards through a vet hospital with no supervision or oversight from  hospital staff.

      I read the full articles. The policy isn't about supervising children. It's about protecting the vets in the hospitals from unsolicited proselytizing which may conflict with their personal religious beliefs. Contrary to what some may believe, unwanted preaching in any form can be tiresome, annoying, and stressful.

      Any policies regarding visiting children or groups are a completely separate issue. There's no need to conflate the two.
