... make an excellent point. It is especially relevant given the fact that Der Spiegel has very recently come out with an article and video containing information that, if connected to Snowden, will see him in prison for decades in my opinion. The video is here.

The information in that article and the video have zero to do with American civil liberties, government excess, the Constitution or governmental wrongdoing. They have everything to do with harming our country's ability to gather foreign intelligence. As the Der Speigel article notes, these NSA programs have obtained some of the best information ever obtained from foreign targets--some of which are described as the "hardest targets."

If you were the head of foreign intelligence for North Korea, Iran, China, Russia or any other government, you are calling all of your operatives in for a seminar, and that video would be shown. The specific details on how to locate plants in computers would be a day-long workshop in itself.

Everybody should reassess how they feel about Snowden after watching that video and thinking about the intelligence capability lost. We have now had two people go into our Secret Government files and steal as much as they could carry out and then claim that the one or two files that established some alleged wrongdoing make it all better. The Government cannot allow that to continue. Anybody calling for a pardon or clemency surely must realize that.

Lives are actually at stake, and when all Snowden showed was tantamount to a USPS mail sorting machine being mis-calibrated for a couple of hours, it was obviously not close to being worth the danger and certainly not worth the damage. (We will see if Snowden is linked to the leaks in that video. I would note that the presenter, Applebaum, did not mention who the leaker was, but he has had access to Snowden.).

Rand Paul is to civil liberties as the Disney Channel is to subtle and nuanced acting. On biblical prophesy: If you play the bible backwards, it says, "Paul is dead."

In the last two days, you have an average of about two people/comment rec'ing your bullshit about Snowden.

Please take a hint and stop posting it.

      Thank you.
