    there seems to be so few really good choices...and then...can they win their district..??

    we have a longtime well-respected sitting member of the  congressional progressive caucus...he is being challenged by a 'business friendly' dem...I'm really po'd...why must we waste effort on this bs.

      to bring out the ego-driven, i.e. those of us who think we know "best" for others. I try to quash that tendency in myself, which helps me recognize it in others.

      But egoity is powerful, and stronger in some of us than in others. Politics seems to attract strong egoists. Unfortunately, what one individual's ego sees as appropriate, may not be the best thing for the interests of the majority of voters.
