    that all predated 9/11.

I'll keep looking, though. It had something to do with Iraq, IIRC...

    •  Guess I was thinking about something else ... (0+ / 0-)

Rep Jane Harman and her troubles with Alberto Gonzalez and the NSA .... and then Nancy Pelosi

      •  Correction: that's actually (1+ / 0-)

not a bad guess; I'd forgotten about Harman having some time off (she'd been in Congress until 1999 and was out, but then she ran again and was back in, as of 2001).

But all the stuff with Gonzales happened in 2009, so the timing still isn't quite right for the picture of Pelosi in question, I don't think.

Thanks for jogging my memory, though! The Harman/Gonzales matter is certainly something to be considered in general, eh? I mean,  simply where NSA spying is concerned....

different now (?) ... starts in about 2004 IIRC and was public , I think about 2009.

I might have to broaden my search a bit. I'd been focused on it being about Iraq, completely. But if that all kicked up initially in 2004? hmmmmmmm....

Thanks--I've been looking since June for this picture, and it's been driving me nuts that I can't find it  ;)
