    I find it sad. They successfully stalled the case for four months on a moot point, and Dr. Mann's attorneys had to respond to every point and filing, at hundreds of dollars an hour plus filing fees. I have no doubt that NRO and AEI have far greater financial resources to dump into litigation than Dr. Mann has. How many years will he be able to sustain the massive financial hemorrhaging that every lawsuit represents?

      What humor there is springs from the irony of a system of justice so prone to such manipulation and lacking in comity. Where there should be mutual commitment to meaningful and useful process by professionals on both sides of the docket, instead reigns a first person shooter video game style combat. Annihilation of the opponent and defense of every twist and turn becomes state of the art play. Justice gasps for air under her blindfold.
