    ... and you've got to expect that sort of thing.  I love Pierre L'Enfant's design of DC.  I love the statues -- something for everyone.

    My favorite wet statues are the naiads in the fountain outside the Library of Congress.  Very expressive!

    A friend of mine once drove her young niece around DC.  The niece loved the statues and identified each one: "There's a statue of George Washington... and another statue of George Washington... and there's one of Martha Washington without any clothes on..."
