  •  Our State ad slogan used to be (2+ / 0-)
    Escape to Wisconsin
    Walker has twisted it into:
    Escape FROM Wisconsin

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

He hasn't totally neutered the DNR yet.  Remember when everyone thought the DNR was the police state.

As soon as I leave the flatlands (sadly, not enough times each year) I am happy.  As soon as I cross Rt. 10 I know I am really on vacation.

Things I learned as a child about Northern Wisconsin.

      1.  Pine and Paper Birch mean vacation
      2.  Bacon cancels egg cholesterol north of Rt. 10
      3.  Maple syrup cancels calories north of Rt. 10
      4.  Lawns don't need to be mowed at lakehouses
      and so much more.

No, I literally can't afford to live up there all the time, but I still love to escape there every chance I get.

One way or another the Walktater will soon be gone.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty (Antonin Scalia, John Boner, or Scotty Walker (pick your favorite) said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."

this link and the linked article inside for info on the Tea Partying Toady Walker appointed to head the DNR.

Yeah, all his appointees are loyalists, but this one seems to take the cake.

making noise.  The spin-off of the northwoods to the Kock brothers and friends is not well liked.  And I know some long-time DNR employees who are not happy.

I used to keep my politics to my self when at the lake.  Then I discovered two years ago when one of my year-round neighbors had an outburst that most of them agreed with me on the state of the state.

The mess he made of public education was the first disaster.  What he has done to make BadgerCare disfunctional brings a whole new group of people closer to our view.  Putting a wingnut in charge of the DNR pushes all of those (good, mostly) employees closer to our view.

He can continue to suck-up to business, but every major decision he makes pushes a new group of average citizens toward us.

Those are some reasons why your updates here at KOS are so important.

I'm smiling today that with the Christie scandal, the media is suddenly pushing the Walktater as the next "non-TeaPublican" savior for the TeaPublican Party.

Just as Christie cannot, Walker cannot and will not survive serious national scrutiny.

          •  Thanks for the inside info that the northwoods (0+ / 0-)

is seeing through Walker.  He'll spend tens of millions this year and the Koch astroturf groups will spend tens of millions more to keep their puppet in office.

It isn't easy when Walker has our media in his pocket.
