Cheers that Mrs. GG's bulging disk shifted off of her sciatic nerve, leaving a dull ache in her lower back instead of constant stabbing, burning pain down one half of her lower self. She can walk erect and without crutches for the first time in weeks! (I'm still waiting on her, though, because we both like it.)
Jeers to das furzenkiester, and Cheers to the heat wave headed to us this weekend. 52° this Saturday with a 95% chance of rain. I promised woozle Halligan a walk in the woods at the P-A-R-K, even if I hafta bring my bumbershoot.
Cheers, but first, Jeers to my new old 2001 Outback failing its inspection last Saturday only to rebound and pass after 150 miles of driving, so it doesn't need a new knock sensor or, especially t'would be economically heinous, a new catalytic converter.
Cheers to Daryl, my mechanic, who rather than say, yeah, we'll get a knock sensor & catalytic converter, said, "On Subarus, the bolt holding the knock sensor sometimes gets corroded, which will give a false knock sensor reading which, in turn, triggers a false catalytic converter reading. I'll clean the bolt up and see what happens." My wife tipped him $50 on her repair bill a couple weeks ago to wish him a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. When you have a knowledgeable AND honest person working on your cars, you want to be sure he or she knows you appreciate them.
Cheers to heated seats on record cold mornings, all-wheel-drive on snowy roads and great tread on slippery highways.
Jeers to all the 4-wheel-rednecks who think their monster trucks can handle ice so why not go 70mph when everyone else is going 30??? It was kinda nice to see a couple of you standing outside your upside-down vehicles talking on your cellphones. Your stupidity inspires pity rather than anger. Glad you weren't hurt. Hope you can assemble enough brain cells to LEARN something from this.

Cheers to BiPM, Michael, kossacks-on-the-job, craft beer and kiddie poolers. 'Cuz, all rolled in together, we iz da bomb!

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
