audience for Tony Perkins' public labeling of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as a "Terrorist organization"! His message is intended primarily for all of those skin head, neo-Nazi, and militia groups around the nation who have been fighting the SPLC for decades. By branding SPLC a terrorist organization Perkins is associating the SPLC an internationally respected civil rights organization with the growing list of groups both domestic and international who are dedicated to worldwide terrorism as a means to acquire their respective goals.

By simply branding SPLC in this manner Perkins is appealing to the fiery sense of nationalistic patriotic chauvinism inherent in virtually all American right wing violent hate groups. Perkins is hoping that these hate groups will view him as the spokesman for the FRC, a nationally respected organization advocating good Christian Family values; and therefore will seize upon his inflammatory "terrorist" branding of the SPLC as a damnable indictment, and a clarion call to arms against the SPLC for the love of "God and Country". Thus any future violent act against the SPLC that is traceable back to Perkins' public branding of the SPLC as a terrorist organization is certain to provide the public notoriety that the rapidly fading Perkins star so desperately needs these days.

    •  I'm ok with their armed revolt (0+ / 0-)

Really.  The police and, if necessary, NG will mow them down before they can get out of state with their attack.  That would mean fewer votes for the GOTP and all but insure their failure.  So they can go ahead, pick up those guns, and begin their little revolt.  Hopefully one or two will come to my door.

    •  Good point (0+ / 0-)

We're not his audience, I'll append two observations.

      • This also looks like some projection, so I wonder how soon until Perkins starts acting like a terrorist?
      • Because Terrorist!!!!  So, when does the NSA realize the word itself is a trigger rather than the action to further excesses in the erosion of civil liberties?
