  •  They begin testifying, under oath, tomorrow. (8+ / 0-)

I expect it will be an interesting day.  Almost as interesting as today.

Wildstein just filed a request to get out of the subpoena forcing him to testify tomorrow and the incoming chairman of the legislative committee which is in charge of the hearing has said he isn't sure whether he will extend the subpoena once he is in charge, which is apparently pretty soon. He said the investigation will continue, but hedged on the subpoena power, without which I am not sure how the investigation continues. Ask Wildstein if he would pretty please with sugar on top like to come and implicate his lifelong friend in these potentially criminal actions and destroy his presidential aspirations? Yeah, I am sure Wildstein would jump at the chance.

when he left the Port Authority last month?  I'm sure he's making a salary somewhere.

But that would be interesting to know. It doesn't seem like Christie is leaving Wildstein to twist in the wind; I think he is still advising him. I wonder if he helped Wildstein and Baroni get new jobs.

I don't think it will be successfuln stopping required testimony.  If he takes the fifth, that's good enough.

There is no way the incoming Assembly Speaker can refuse to extend subpoena power. It will be renewed next Tuesday, so Bridget Kelly can be forced to testify. In fact, Kelly may receive subpoena this weak to further influence extension of subpoena authority.

Also, federal investigation will probably be announced. They'll also have subpoena power.

    •  Will probably plead the 5th (0+ / 0-)

Could be criminal implications for the staffers who shut down the bridge for revenge
