    might have really backtracked.  His rationalization isn't big enough to cover his backside on this though.  

    He is basically saying he prefers to:

    1) put the Illinois minimum wage decision into the hands of the most ineffective Congress since Lord knows when.  (I wonder how many Repub congressmen he called to push them to raise the min. wage.  lol.)

    2) not will to take ownership of it on his own to do what is right.

    3) is effectively tying the increase in minimum wage back again to the "competitive argument" because he is saying Illinois should not have it any higher than anyone else for any reason.

    This guy is still toast, so I'm still doing my happy dance.  He has already jumped out with commercials to try to define himself to the voters and this sabotages those efforts.
