But I left my notes at work with the actual citation. It's on CNN's website too...

      Here is what CNN said:

Patrick Foye, the transportation agency’s executive director, wrote a scathing e-mail that expressed concerns lane closures on the George Washington Bridge – which snarled traffic in Fort Lee – did not follow protocol or and created “dangers to the public interest.”

Regina Egea, Christie’s director of the authorities unit and a member of his senior staff, was forward the e-mail three hours after it was sent on September 9.

Bill Baroni, the Christie-appointed Port Authority deputy director, forwarded the e-mail to Egea.

But if they are talking about the long, really great email from Foye that ended the closures, that wasn't sent until the 13th. So maybe that is where the confusion arises.

Regardless of whether it was right at the beginning or right after the closures, Christie was made aware that the closures were probably illegal and endangered public safety. I do not buy that an experienced prosecutor would hear that and not look into it further. I just don't.

Regardless of the date, it is total bullshit that he knew nothing before 8:50am Wednesday morning.

This, and his phone call to Cuomo on dec 12th should be enough to disprove his pious two hour charade of ignorance on Thursday.
