    But I've heard other stories from other fast food joints.

    And even workers like myself who work for fairly good wages, have bosses that try to suck us into running company errands for free, on our own time in our own cars. Its a widespread problem here in Texas. Very rarely heard of that problem in Minnesota.  In my case, I told my boss straight out that this was a form of wage theft, that I am an hourly employee and had an hourly wage agreement that had to honored by law, and that my car belongs to me, not to the company. Another agency that was more insistent, I simply quit. But I do recognize that not everyone can just up and quit their job.

    This is happening because the bosses have no reason to fear the law. When do they ever go to jail for wage theft? But it's also happening because we allow it to happen.
