  •  Soup is it. I used to make soup four nights a week (2+ / 0-)

out of the previous night's vegetables, for a vegetarian client. It was always different!

Currently I just sat down now at the computer after starting chicken stock for myself. Gonna be up two more hours, good time to simmer. I don't usually eat raw celery. But stock just isn't well rounded without it.

Been thinking lately about the importance of soup. Glad you put that at the end of your diary.

Eat real food, I tell the kids while I feed squash and brown rice to their babies. And I agree I like my food relatively unmodified, but I do like today's bananas better than those '70s ones.

But we started seeing numbered signs with names like "Pioneer" on the corn about 20 years ago, and our wonderful local Silver Queen went to hell and corn hasn't been the same since.

I never realized eggs could come out fluffy and puffy until I got some fresh ones from a friend with chickens.
Wow. It is worth it most of the time to buy organic even if you have to buy less.

Apples and bananas and oranges, etc. come ready-made in lovely single-serving packages. I see no reason at all to cut them open until it's time to eat or cook them.

We are all pupils in the eyes of God.
