In one part of your letter you state that you have insurance through your employer and it can't be changed by contract with your union. In another part of your letter you state that you have a preexisting condition that had prevented you from obtaining health insurance at any price. But weren't you always covered, even with your preexisting condition, through your employer's plan?

    "let's talk about that"

I am looking to change jobs and maybe start my own business. I have always had to work for large employers because their insurance covers preexisting conditions, but I am not eligible for their long term disability program.

Private insurance is what I was talking about. It was not available to me at any price. I learned this in 2006 when I was in between jobs and had talked to a State Farm agent and overheard him tell the secretary that my preexisting condition was an automatic denial. I had already filled out all the paperwork of course and was not suppose to hear this rather blunt statement.
