    there's not a "smoking gun" in Bridgegate that ties Christie to it, it looks like there'll be plenty there to sink Christie as a Presidential candidate and severely constrain him as governor of NJ.  At the very least, there'll be strong circumstantial evidence that links him to Bridgegate and with the other things coming out about his actions like the cancelled meetings, a lot of voters would be turned off by him in a national election.  Not to mention, if he's not directly linked it makes him look clueless and like he was a piss-poor manager of his people and bad judge of character in choosing his top staff -- hardly qualities you want in a President.  Hard to see him as a viable candidate with all that looming over him.

    And as governor he'll have a magnifying glass on him from now on, and every move he makes people will be asking about his motives.  He'll have to be a lot more cautious and transparent, and he'll have to go out of his way to show how bipartisan he is to demonstrate he's not using his office as a political club to beat his detractors with.
