  •  I agree about website (0+ / 0-)

I think her website needs to be fleshed out, and soon, as well as upping the ante on visibility. I know it's considered early, but I don't think she has a chance of winning without starting to turn voters minds towards November now. And, she has to be absolutely tough, tenacious and unforgiving.

I don't know -- the attractiveness factor is maybe to her detriment. Ann Richards was handsome, and kind of a Texas tomboy: very attractive, but not traditionally feminine like Davis.  I think conservative Texans see someone like Davis and think that she should be the governors wife, not the governor.

    •  Ann was especially striking in person (0+ / 0-)

with a real flair for life, if that makes sense.

Don't think I ever heard anyone refer to her as Barbie.

      The truth always matters.

speaking forcefully, lucidly, and on point, while standing on her feet, not supported by any one or anything at all or leaning on anything at all, with not a sip of liquid, no bathroom breaks, and with a room full of redneck office holders just looking for one tiny mistake by which they could end her filibuster, then sure, I suppose she fits the old-fashioned, traditional image of feminine attractiveness.

For me, because I watched her triumph over all that stood against her, and in grand and elegant fashion to boot, I see her as the epitome of victory and strength and intellligence.

She's attractive and feminine, no doubt about it, but those things, for her, are superfluous to what counts for those who understand why she must win to save Texas.
