Kochtopus Obamacare-bashing ads in many of the vulnerable states to make enough voters accept that 30 repeal votes made sense.

It's the kind of motivational campaign that gives them consistently good midterm turnout compared to our consistently weak midterm turnout. Not to say that it must work but it's got a great track record.

They make a lot of ground in these elections.

trouble running on anti-Obamacare than you think.  So many more people are getting health care for the first time, and for less money, than there are who are "mad" because they couldn't keep their crappy insurance policy.

Not only that, but I'm sure there are plenty of bright red, tea-baggin Fox viewers that are among the unemployed who were cut off.  The polls show it, and those 'bagger reps are hearing from their constituents.  Sure, they don't care if it's poor brown or black people, but once it's REAL 'murikans feeling the pain, well then, that's different.  If they keep blocking extended UI, they're in trouble.

Once again, they're basing a strategy on their Fox bubble.  I guess they learned nothing from 2012.

      •  Not as many as would be necessary, (0+ / 0-)

unfortunately. Even if the ACA was providing millions of people benefits they didn't have before, we would need a huge % of those people to vote to make enough of a difference, and they would all have to be in non-gerrymandered districts that aren't already Democratic. We may see a small bump because of the ACA, but nowhere near enough, I think.
