Democrats should be all over this chemical spill. They should be all over that fertilizer plant in Texas that should not have been doing what it did where it did. They should be all over the criminality of extortion re the debt ceiling--all over extortion of unemployment benefits for tar sands pipelines, all over Christie exemplifying republican hypocrisy. The right has absolutely no compunction about painting all but themselves with the same negative brush. Yet those who stand for everyone else fail to get it that the right wins because they keep playing the game that a strong offense is the only defense.

As gross as that might feel, it IS the answer. The truth is that the non-right has real substance and real evidence and not just ideological bluster. Do you want you water polluted? an exploding unregulated plant near your kids school? a week of traffic snarls over something that has nothing to do with you? threats of destroying the value of US currency for social safety net concessions this gang hasn't even conspired yet to choose? do you want Congress-persons under pledge to a blind absolute totality to take from you rather than those who won't miss the money if a war or disaster happens? do you want a gang of fourth rate dummies and reckless ideologues gambling with things they are unqualified to gamble with that can change the country only to the negative? Do you want crooks in charge of Congressional oversight who lie and leak crafted material that falsely implies wrong-doing on the part of the good guys just trying to do the will of the majority of people who voted for them? refusing to cooperate even in the middle of the most extreme cold snap in a decade or more? who goes home for weeks on end when people like you are in need of action regardless of the nature of that action?

Man, the shit-list goes on and on. But it can be said in one PSA or political ad. My goodness. We need some junkyard dogs in the Democratic party. I'm all for women, but Wasserman-Schultz, Pelosi, Gilebrand et al and weaselly pip squeak Harry Reid--even I-want-everyone-to-be comfortable-and-like-me POTUS Obama, are just loost in space in the face of the offense of unconscionable wrong doers. The right-wing establishment needs to feel some thunder, lightening and resolve that they have gotten away with their last offensive campaign of manipulative red herrings to fool rank and file Americans into voting for their continued criminality.
