    For years many Democrats have wondered why poor and middle class Americans vote for Republicans, especially in our country's poorest states like West Virginia. Is it some twisted ideology?
    West Virginia's govenor is a Democrat.  Democrats control they WV House.  Democrats control the WV Senate.  Both of WV's US Senators are Democrats and one of it's three US House members is a Democrat.

      I probably should've phrased that as "vote for conservative politicians that don't share their economic interests".

      In states like West Virginia, many Democrats are likely as conservative as Republicans in more liberal states so the ideology likely isn't too far apart.
