Lesley Stahl did a garbage show favoring fossil fuels and slamming renewables.  She interviewed a man from China who bought cheap all the tax-payer funded research that set up renewable companies like Solyndra that suffered from the Chinese government taking over the solar market.  He smiled at Lesley and said he was thinking long-term.  That is the problem.  China has a chance to solve their problems.  Republicans see the US as a puddle of Shale Oil they can frack and export.  I just responded to an article on Politico where the Repubs think only Congress should approve or disapprove what the EPA does now in terms of regulating chemicals.

In 20 years, their majority will be over retirement age.  They are not having enough children to replenish.  And if the ones they have grow up in this pollution, they won't be very healthy.

I don't think the Chinese economy is very sustainable.
