    that Iran will respond by attacking Israel thus triggering our military alliance.  Unless of course our agreement with Israel doesn't apply if they attack first.

      This bill would essentially override that, even if such a caveat existed.

      I just don't get this whole saga. Six months is not a long time.  If it's clear along the way that Iran is not complying with the agreement, congress could propose its new round of sanctions and come, July 20th, vote them into place.

      AIPAC's behavior is premised on the fact that Iran can't be trusted so the only way to deal with the nuke issue is to bomb.  But with ongoing and escalating conflicts in Iraq and Syria, Lebanon experiencing periodic terrorist attacks and with Egypt, Libya, etc.  all still very unstable, it's insane to ignite one more can of gas.
