I find email is a quick and painless way to keep your finger on the pulse. Sure, a lot of it's duplicative, and some mornings I want to scream if I ever see another email that says "We just learned that Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers are going to do a $10 million ad buy in our district. Can you spare $3 to fight back?"

I have even found it enlightening to subscribe to right-wing lists. Sure, I usually just scan the headlines before deleting, but it gives me an idea of what they are thinking.

I dislike Carville (putting his name on an email is a sure way to get me NOT to contribute) and the DCCC (recruiting an anti-choice radical in Ohio? REALLY, DCCC? Have you not been paying attention to what's happening in Congress?) But it's no skin off my nose to get their emails. Deleting is quick and painless.

Ed FitzGerald for governor Of Ohio. Women's lives depend on it.
