most of the state, and that's 101.5, which came into being in 1990 with the sole purpose of getting rid of Florio, who was attacked relentlessly by a then unknown John and Ken, who went on to become major talk radio sleaze stars in CA.

      •  I don't know how anybody listened back then (0+ / 0-)

Or now, for that matter. But there was so much echo back then it sounded like they were broadcasting from some cave or something. So much echo it was kind of hard to understand what they were saying.

      •  Yes, you do. (0+ / 0-)

        Go to this link.

Enter NJ in the field for State.

        Select AM Station for Service.

        Depress the Return key.

        Click "Get Data."

Repeat the process, but this time, select FM Station for Service.

But it is unusual for any radio station to cover an entire state, even Rhode Island.

        •  that's the point (0+ / 0-)

it's unusual for one right wing station to reach a whole my area everything is drowned out on the dial by NYC; I have one station in English that is local, and it went right wing a decade ago. 101.5 comes in clear as a bell all the way down the Parkway....honestly don'tknow if it comes in in the mountains ( really big hills truth be told ) of NW Jersey or not. Actually can't think of any NJ stations in my area, at least none that I get a signal from...except 101.5.

        •  all i see is a lot of stations that say void (0+ / 0-)

and nothing that I have ever heard of. Not sure what void means in the radio biz....but void sounds like nothing there...really, we're pretty much NYC and Philly.
