    I was under the impression that the full background check, fingerprinting, photograph and the right of the ATF to inspect your premises at any time without a warrant had a lot to do with the owners of these weapons causing little trouble.

    There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap box, ballot box, jury box and ammo box. Use in that order.

      Just insist that if they "believe" that full-auto weapons are so safe because of such checks, mandatory legislation of that type for all guns would be bundled with a repeal of the ban on new autofire manufacture or imports and such background checks for any gun owner would allow them to purchase as many autofire weapons as they wanted without that classist and punitive $200 tax. I just can't see them finding enough rationality and consistency in their hearts to adopt a policy like that.

      FYI, I would be against it anyway because I think the class III license involves violations of due process rights against search & seizure.
