  •  That sort of speculation is common here (0+ / 0-)

these days. Warren has won one senate race as a Democrat in the state of Massachusetts. That is not an automatic win, but MA is about the easiest state in the country for Dems to win in. That is why it is complete speculation that she can play well in purple states and in regions that have few liberals. People here want her to be president, so they convince themselves she's a great national candidate. Based on nothing, really (other than high hopes).

    •  And a socialist won in Washington, which turned (0+ / 0-)

Democratic pols/insiders upside down...a real obstacle for progressives is the group of Obama supporters (such as doc2) who have worked diligently to prevent populism from taking control...they know that their team (and leader) would be toast if it ignites. In short, we have many so-called dems sabotaging the efforts of progressives who are trying to end the corruption in D.C.

If Hillary wins the nomination, then the Democratic Party will lose a lot of progressives...I have been a lifetime Democrat, but will change to Independent the minute she accepts the nomination, and then I will work to support only independent candidates.

      And I won't be alone.

      •  Yeah, we heard that from a lot (0+ / 0-)

of people when Obama got the nomination. And he broke every vote record in the book. Go ahead and boycott Hillary. That oughta really hurt her.

        •  You forget how many of us voted for him (0+ / 0-)

because he was the lesser of two evils, not because he was the greatest....the best thing he had going for him in 2012 was Paul Ryan...not his record, which has been abysmal.
