looks to be another pleasant day before the next cold front

How much have you, personally, been affected by climate change?

Having moved to a completely different part of the continent approximately once every 7 years of my adult life makes noticing the changes more difficult.  Where I live now has been in drought or in periods of heavy rainfall most of the time since we arrived.

Did you make up secret languages and/or code words as a kid so you could talk in front of others without them understanding? Got any examples you recall?

We probably had nicknames for things - not really a code but we might have used names around others at one time or another but we didn't set out to do that.  I don't recall any examples.

What is the easiest vice you ever gave up? Why did you give it up?

Excessive worrying about school  work (not really a vice I know - what can I say, I'm kind of dull).  In high school I realized that I always got my work done and I always did OK and that things I agonized over were usually forgotten a week later.  So I resolved to stop worrying about things and it actually worked. My school work still got finished but I didn't worry about it (much) any more.

Many actual vices such as smoking never appealed to me at all and so I never had the opportunity to give them up.  Others such as consumption of foods that are bad for me I find much more difficult to shake.
