    named after Ceres?

    TRIPTOLEMOS was a demi-god of the Eleusinian mysteries who presided over the sowing of grain-seed and the milling of wheat. His name means "He who Pounds the Husks."
    lema, yes, that makes sense, lema (lemma) is the name to a certain set of sheath leaves at the base of a grain (poaceae) / grass flower. I hated them because they are so minimal (in grass) and even with a hand lens hard to resolve.

    so the entire painting is an allegory to bounty?
    theres little to see in the way of fields there however, what one would have expected.
