    That area of New York is sort of symbolic of the rust belt. The University is one of the main drivers of employment there.  Whether this is a "good" project versus spending 200 million elsewhere in the State is probably dubious. But the area needs enhancement and it's an odd criticism to say that a Governor shouldn't care about a large metro area in his State.

      in this economy, as long as we are not pulling money from elsewhere (again no idea), 200 million to dig holes is a benefit.

        Cuomo should care about Syracuse. Syracuse should NOT be promoting themslves as New York's College team, and the State shouldn't give SU a dime for the dome.
