  •  As an amateur radio operator I have observed (8+ / 0-)

the sun spot cycles over the last forty years and have noticed how dependable the cycle is. The sun spots peak every 11 years and right now is supposed to be the peak of sun spots and solar activity, however, the solar activity is at a 100 year minimum just as the peak of activity is supposed to be now. Makes you wonder if those who are predicting a mini-ice age are correct. The effect is pretty much instantaneous and right now it feels like it.

Amateur radio operators, correctly, realize that the peak of solar activity means an ionized charged upper atmosphere that correlates with very, very long range radio communications with minimum power output. It's the "skip" effect that bounces radio waves around the world that we enjoy during "peak" sunspot activity. Ain't happening now a days...

The effect of all that extra CO2 overpowers the effect of a tiny bit less solar radiation.  It may slow down Global Climate Disaster slightly, but it won't stop or reverse it.

Ok, stay on course for more heat. Just look at the trends of the earth's convection currents. Gore is probably correct about increased CO2 but that is NOT going to overpower the natural and historical long term sun cycle. As liberals we made the BIG BIG mistake of claiming CO2 will produce global warming when we SHOULD have been clammoring about how the pollutants destroy our HEALTH - BIG MISTAKE!!!!

    •  Australia is suffering, (0+ / 0-)

and come next summer, it will get hot in the northern US. Meanwhile Yosemite Falls is dead dry.
