    10,000 years ago with the melt we're living in today.

    "...the last 400,000 years have consisted of short interglacials (10,000 to 30,000 years) about as warm as the present alternated with much longer (70,000 to 90,000 years) glacials substantially colder than present."

    -- Volcanic ejecta could be a cause for the glacial periods. Sunlight gets blocked. We are living through a volcanic minimum.

    -- This 44,000 year flora could have grown during a high summer during what was otherwise a major glacial expansion. Or a brief interlude in that expansion.

    What does it mean ??? Summers are going to be off the charts hot, too.

    ...angry, embarrassed, and humiliated, but mainly just sad.
