    is that they're two stories I saw, that weren't posted to dkos for the wider audience to have a chance to see them, unless they happen to peruse two separate sites.

    Granted, Think progress has high hit probability given the clientele of dkos, but the ars technica site probably a little less frequented. Either way, I didn't want to waste time with two diaries for a topic on related issues.
    While the republican twist on the Fatca bill is hilarious, and unsurprising, the fact that they both relate to tax avoidance by the wealthy and major corporations, which is a serious problem, made it seem to make more sense to post them together, let the ad hominem group go at it, and just let those who might otherwise have missed either or both of those two articles see them. That's also why I don't block quote them, or offer a ton of commentary, since you can all read the articles and make up your minds just fine with me acting only as a linker.
    Incidentally, "just linking" in a diary seems to be very frowned upon, which is why you also get filler bullshit.
