    By bringing your gun to a public meeting, you are making the meeting inherently more life threatening. Not safer.

      Especially public meetings. What I was referencing was your post on guns in the home, where you do NOT get to make that decision for me.

        I think we agree here. I assumed you were in favor of open carry in public places (that's what the diary is about) and you assumed I am in favor of outlawing in private homes (that's what most of my comment was about). Neither assumption turns out to be true.

      You get to decide when to drive, when to walk, when to drink, when to carry a gun or not.  You don't get to control when others decide to drive, or walk, or drink, or carry a gun or not.

      In order to have your liberty respected you must first respect the liberty of others to do as you would choose not to.
