        Guns are not articles of clothing.

        The mayor who is a tailor should recuse him/herself if an issue that can increase the profits of his private tailoring business comes before him. It's a conflict of interest - he/she stands to personally gain depending on his/her vote.

        So, yes, a mayor can also be a tailor.

        •  Almost any issue could affect that mayor's (0+ / 0-)

          profits.  Road resurfacing certainly makes it easier to access  the mayor's business.  Beautification projects will likely attract more people and thus more clients.  More or less police may affect crime rate and thus business...

          All about as much as OC will affect business of a range.
