Dude has only been in office since March and is changing the entire Church.  It's going to take time, though, which maybe some folks don't understand in today's media world.

"new Pope is a rock star" baloney.

      he's not.

the so called reform he is doing is minor and a last gasp effort to save the whole, hot mess.

the church is dead now in nations like Ireland and Poland because of the malfeasance going on the last oh, 100 years.

"Why don't Muslims ever denounce terrorism?"

Uh, they do, here and here and here.

Yeah, well, why don't they do it more?

          •  And? (0+ / 0-)

While that's been kicked around for a long time, why should it matter to you if that happens or not?  And if you know anything about the Catholic Church and its history, there's a reason for the celibacy angle that goes beyond theology (see the history of Pope Gregory VII).

Unless, of course, you are trying to tie priestly celibacy to pedophilia, which would be just stupid.

              why does it matter?

Ohh, because the church has a rather large problem with deviant men; child molesters... in fact the organizations seems to attract them.

guys who want to get married typically are not child molesters.

the fact you want to gloss over both the problem and the solution is weak, very weak.

you realize that's the same argument that's made against the LGBT community?

I would suggest you rethink that line of thought....oh yeah, and do you have any statistics?  Ya know, proof of what you are saying?  Google can be your friend:
