    My own Pomeranian, a big feisty black floof named Maya, had the same thing happen.  About four months after Tasha.  I had TWO suddenly-blind Poms at the same time.  Unlike Tasha, Maya wasn't also deaf, thank goodness and both of them adapted so well.  

    But then poor Maya got Cushing's and had a bad reaction to a diet supplement we were trying her on to help with her skin problems.  We lost her pretty quickly.  That was pretty awful.  Maya was MY first dog (the first dog you get as a grownup and not just share as a family pet).    

    Just ran across this on Facebook the other day:

    I think I'm well on my way to having a good doggy heart after all the great dogs I've had!  

    I hope your Gus responds to what you try.  He sounds like a good dog--the highest compliment you can give a dog.

    Somebody told me that you had a boyfriend who looked a girlfriend that I had in February of last year.
