Recall and elections are fraught with money. Imagine a world where The People could file a class action lawsuit to impeach a boatload of congress critters at a time.

The people could make sure there is sanity and objectivity to drawing up districts and then they'd all have to get back to governing. It would be fascinating to see what the congress would look like if we had rational and fair C.D.s like lots of squares rather than the squiggly snaked up gerrymandered abomination we have now.

Unfortunately, in New Jersey, politicians make up the redistricting committee.  Even Herr Christie visited the hotel where they were, presumably to offer some pressure.

Look at our districts, especially NJ-5 (Scott Garrett) - starts north along the Hudson River, moves west along the New York State border, then south along the Delaware River.  NJ-4 (Chris Smith) - starts just outside Trenton and moves northeast toward Sandy Hook.

        Their commonness: both are Republicans.

The comeback began in Virginia ... it's time to make it grow in 2014!

I've witnessed yielded train wrecks like Governor Schwartznegger in CA. Proposition 13 that destroyed what was once one of the best public school systems in the US was a voter passed proposition.

I don't believe in recalls.  We have a system in which you can address underperformance on a regular basis.  That creates both flexibility and stability.

That is exactly why impeaching Bill Clinton was near criminal activity in my mind.  It was both a misuse and abuse of power.
