The content of the original tweet that got the staffer fired is incidental.
The content has a lot to do with one's perception of whether firing the employee is justified.

Not my perception. I already knew what the quote said.

You're wanting me to do your research for you. I didn't. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Your diary is just you talking to yourself, nothing to do with sharing your thoughts for discussion with others. OK. I'll leave you to it. I suspect others will also.

        •  I doubt it. (0+ / 0-)
Although a diary may provide information for a memoir, autobiography or biography, it is generally written not with the intention of being published as it stands, but for the author's own use.
I don't look at a diary as a means of ego fulfillment as others around here seem to, no. Or write anything because I enjoy engaging with pedantic trolls either.

          >  ...nothing to do with sharing your thoughts for discussion with others...

I'm old enough to know that I'm never going to make everyone happy, so I figure that I'll keep on doing whatever it is that I do. There's enough responses and good dialogue in the comments here that's not fussy-pissy in nature.

          > OK. I'll leave you to it.

          That's very generous of you.
