  •  If we are serious about climate change (0+ / 0-)

then we need to block the development of the tar-sands, not argue about how to deliver the stuff.  The focus on the pipeline is misguided.

    •  We fight any time, every place and at every (0+ / 0-)

opportunity to keep fossil fuel in the ground period.  This is the time, the place and the opportunity.  Fracking - fight it.  Coal shipment facilities - fight them.  Increased drilling for oil- fight it.  More efficient ways to ship all of it - fight it.  Fight all aspects of fossil fuel development period.  Fight fossil fuelilshness in all areas and in as manifestations.  FIGHT IT!

If we really want to straighten out all this crap we really need to think about shit - Holy Shit.

thousand lines that we must not cross in the next years, and this is the 1st one that's really captured people's attention.

Of course they'll try to move their slime by other means.  But that's no reason to accept this (Koch Brothers) project.

Has there ever been anything like a 76,000-person CD issue in the US?  Not that I know of, and it'll be a very big deal if this happens.  Those are the kinds of numbers that it'll take to begin making change actually happen, and not only with Keystone.

Deep action on Wall St?  Monsanto?  TPP?  All of these are beyond our reach without real, very large public resistance.  And no issue has galvanized Americans like this one.   So whatever Obama and Kerry decide on the pipeline, we win, as long as we follow through.  Because resistance is habit-forming, and once-initiated it'll grow & grow.

I still expect the Pres to deny the pipeline, but if not it's not over, it's a new beginning.
