She's also married to David Tennant.

Recasting could be as simple as saying she regenerated.

But I'd rather see spin-offs for The Eighth Doctor based on The Night Of The Doctor and maybe one for Madame Vastra/Jenny/Strax.

Why do I have the feeling George W. Bush joined the Stonecutters, ate a mess of ribs, and used the Constitution as a napkin?

Strax actor really pulls off humor to play against the others, and MV makes a more interesting Holmes type then the latest 21st Century BBC Holmes (which is still good). Didn't Vastra eat Jack the Ripper? Interesting way for a bit of pre-feminist/suffragette revenge. :)

in the poll, since that is the one that Moffat has actually talked about publicly. He says he doesn't have time to do it.

It's timey-wimey, Moffat. There was time for Torchwood, the Sara Jane Adventures, novels, and other Doctor Who ventures. And Sherlock.

else (Russell T Davies wasn't as heavily involved in Sarah Jane) but that isn't how Moffat rolls. He tends to like to keep the characters he created only written by him. All of the Weeping Angels episodes are Moffat episodes as is every single River Song appearance save one. I was VERY shocked he let another writer use the Paternoster characters for The Crimson Horror. Just letting someone else use them for a single episode was a big deal. I don't see him doing it for an entire series.
