  •  It isn't Tikkun that calls Kerry (13+ / 0-)

anti-semitic. This Diary calling out Israel for that cheap and unworthy shot was published in Tikkun.

Like Republicans, some in Israel will continue to do this to stok fear, anger, and hatred with their base as long as it works. It appears that younger Israelis are, like younger Americans, buying into the fear a little less each year.

It will continue to appear that nothing is happening as we approach the tipping point, and then that everything is happening at once. It is just as Nelson Mandela said.

Everything is impossible until it happens.

    •  Well, it just seems since around 2006 (0+ / 0-)

that Tikkun has been publishing a lot of this kind of crap. Why is that? Tikkun articles, the authors of, seemed to have more heart.  But I do understand what you are saying.

        •  Maybe it was the newsletters I was (0+ / 0-)

receiving from Tikkun with particular negative articles about the U.S., and then more always rebuffing Obama that seemed more negative to me.  Anyway, I used to go from the newsletter to the magazine to read, often.

If what you say is true, then I stand corrected.

          •  Remember that the Israeli Right (0+ / 0-)

has turbocharged the rhetoric.  Washington politicians may have the privilege to skip daintily around that reality.  Tikkun has no such luxury, and must confront it head on.  That isn't necessarily going to be a pretty process.  In fact, it almost certainly will be quite the opposite.  But necessary.
