  •  Excerpt from his campaign (3+ / 0-)

Dan will take his commitment to the region and compassion for those struggling to make ends meet to Washington, where he will bring new, energetic leadership to focus on job creation in Northwestern Pennsylvania and on growing our local economy. Dan supports more partnerships between universities and local businesses, investing in job training, leveraging Western Pennsylvania’s energy resources, creating a more level playing field for American workers, and tackling Washington’s irresponsible and reckless spending habits.
It's a shame about your implication that due to his youth, national Democratic organizations are less likely to provide support. If anything, the Democratic Party should be grooming young leaders like LaVallee throughout the country. We need these leaders to thrive, as a party, and as a nation.

When I spoke with him last week, he said the campaign was going great, but he did mention that it will probably be important for the larger party organizations and other national organizations to weigh in at some point.

I think Tea Party/fear/hate culture has peaked and backlash is possibly the wave of 2014.

Maybe I'm way too optimistic, but I think this anti-Tea Party backlash could sweep in a stronger Democratic Congress in 2014, despite the conventional wisdom that says off year and tough seats and all that.

        this is only a test

        1) they let themselves be arrogated by the private corporations
        2) they bought into the myth that collecting dollars from people who use them is bad. Might as well argue that sending bottles and aluminum cans back to the factory is bad. Same principle. Federal taxes are a recycling operation.
