Must have been great fun to act in it.

    Loved the lines you shared.

Alas, in my time, I've known Contessas, milkmaids, courtesans and novices, whores, gypsies, jades, and little boys, but nowhere in God's western world have I found anyone to love but you.
    Great stuff!

    •  It was indeed great fun! (4+ / 0-)

The only lead role I've ever really coveted (and not because I got to have a hot young mistress!).  The 1968 movie version is one of my favorites of all time, and I am a medieval history buff.  My lovely wife & I made most of the costumes for this one.

It seems that lately I am being typecast as an authoritarian cradle-robber, since I will be playing Duke Theseus in an upcoming production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, with a much younger woman playing Hippolytta (she's also quite petite, not what I would picture as an Amazon Queen).  Oh well, not complaining, and fortunately my lovely wife appreciates the difference between truth & fiction.

by younger beautiful costars! Love it!

My sister is involved in theater and I have always admired her work. I was played "The Ticket Lady" but I was good!

Great thing about theater is that you get to hang with these really bright witty people. Cast parties are incredible events!

Good thing your wife understands that art is not life!
